Italian Technology Growth, Today and the Future
Technology is growing in Italy, especially when it comes to inventions and astronomical observatories. Technological growth when it comes to Information Technology is steadily increasing, but Italy is definitely left behind in comparison with the majority of Europe. This is surprising with all of Italians technological inventions and research institutes.
Italy is home to twenty three astronomical observatories with Arcetri Observatory just outside Florence being responsible for astronomy observation and the construction of astronomical equipment. Brera Astronomical Observatory in Milan and Noto Radio Observatory in Sicily are also big when it comes to astronomical technology.
Italy has also been responsible for many technological inventions that we use today including the barometer, decompression chamber, induction motor and radio direction finder. It is also home to a large number of research institutes.
The Broglio Space Center is an Italian spaceport located near Kenya and has been used to launch both Italian and International satellites. While they are so technologically advanced in so many areas it’s surprising that Italy is lagging behind the rest of Europe when it comes to Information Technology.
